Here is the update: *The two GSU deputies recovered at home and have both received two negative Covid tests. They will be returning to work next week. *The deputy from the courthouse has returned to work after having two negative test results. *The two correctional officers, one from court holding and one from the ADF, and the Court Security Officer, remain at home and are recovering. It is unclear where the ADF correctional officer caught the virus however at this time the ADF has had no other cases. My command staff and I have been working hard to ensure everyone’s health and safety. We have based all of our decisions on information that we have received from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Will County Health Department, various State officials, and the Illinois Sheriff’s Association, and will continue to do so. It remains my top priority to monitor the daily changes as we continue to safeguard Will County communities and all of our exceptional staff who are on the front lines of this pandemic.
